Best time to do Sar Pass Trek
Sar pass trek can be done in April to June and sept to mid-November, As Sar pass receives heavy snowfall in Winters. So, it is closed till March end and batches departure start from April and continues till June end. Sar pass trek is closed in Monsoon because of severe weather conditions and heavy rainfall. So, it is not a suitable t ime to do this trek, but after Monsoon trek starts again. Post monsoon it will become very beautiful as new life begins and everything becomes lush green. Post monsoon trek is accessible from September to mid-November, after November trek is not accessible due to heavy snowfall.

We start our trek from Kasol at early morning. The trek distance will be 8 KM which take Approx 4 to 5 Hours. The trek passes through dense forests, lush green meadows, and small streams, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. At Grahan village we stay at Grahan village base camp (Homestay).

Start our trek from Grahan village, which is nestled amidst pine forests and offers a glimpse into the traditional Himachali way of life. In this route you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including peaks like Indrasan, Deo Tibba, and Hanuman Tibba. Take plenty of breaks to soak in the beauty of your surroundings and capture some memorable photographs. The trek will be 8 KM long and take approx 6-7 hours. Move towards Nagaru from Min Thach by trek. The trek will 7 KM long and take approx 6-7 hours. The trek passes through dense forests, lush green meadows, and small streams, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. In Nagaru our stay points Nagaru Campsite.

Next day we start our trek from Nagaru to Biskeri Thach. The trek will be 14 KM long and take approx 7 - 8 hours. Sar Pass is the highest of the trek, situated at an altitude of around 13,850 feet (about 4,221 meters). The pass offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including the mighty Himalayas. After that we reach Biskeri Thach. Biskeri Thach is a beautiful camping site located after descending from Sar Pass. It's surrounded by alpine meadows, dense forests, and gushing streams, making it an ideal place to relax and rejuvenate amidst nature. In Biskeri Thach our stay points Biskeri Thach Campsite.

Begin our trek early in the morning to make the most of daylight. The trek from Biskeri Thach to Barshaini offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, lush forests, and occasionally, you might pass through small villages. After Reaching Barshaini we will drive Back to Kasol.

3. Basic gears – Backpack with rain cover, Daypack with rain cover, Hiking pole, Sun glasses, Water Bottle / Hydration pack, small size tiffin/lunch box and Snacks.
4. Foot gears – Hiking shoes with ankle support and 3 to 4 pairs of shocks.
5. Head gears – Head lamp, Woollen cap and Neck gaiters.

1. If you cancel your Sar pass trek 15 days before the trek date.
- Can do any other trek in one year and reduce the cost by same
- Take back the whole amount back
2. If you cancel your Sar pass trek within 10 days prior to its start.
- Can do any other trek in one year and reduce the cost by same
- Â Take back 50% of the amount.
3. If you cancel your Sar pass trek just 7 before the trek date.

4. Important note:
- The entire trek fee must be paid by the trekker at least 7 days prior to the scheduled departure date.
- If natural calamities lead to the cancellation of the trek, we will either reschedule the trek and invite you to

Ans: Backpack offloading services are available on the Sar Pass trek. However, if you want to use this service, you need to register in advance during the trek registration process. If you decide to opt for backpack offloading at the start of the trek, it will cost you significantly more.

Ans:
– In winters: Daytime temperature varies between 12°C to 15°C, and nighttime temperatures drop to -10°C to -15°C.
– In summer: Temperature varies between 8°C to 15°C.
11. Will accommodation be provided if we arrive prior to the trekking date?
Ans: No, we are not providing any accommodation in such a case. However, we can suggest other homestay options where you can stay before your trek batch date.
12. How many trekkers will be there in the group?
Ans: We limit our trekking groups to a maximum of 25 people per batch to preserve the secluded nature of the trek. The actual group size may vary depending on the number of registrations.
13. May I please know Who will be our guide for the Sar Pass trek organized by Lets Outdoors?
Ans: Certified and experienced mountain guide, along with an experienced high-altitude cook, local mountain guide, and other supporting staff.
14. Are trekking gears available on rent?
Ans: Yes, trekking gear is available for rent. Renting gear makes more sense than buying because purchasing trekking gear can be quite expensive. Therefore, it is better to opt for renting gear instead.
15. What type of shoes would be appropriate for the trek?
Ans: If you’re planning to go hiking, it’s important to buy or rent good quality, water-tight shoes with ankle support to keep yourself safe from ankle twists. Make sure to check the grooves in the bottom of the shoes and ensure that they have good grooves and shapes that will help you grip the trek.
16. Is it safe to drink alcohol to warm up when feeling cold during the Sar Pass trek?
Ans: Consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited during the Sar Pass trek due to its dehydrating effect on the body. The cold weather can already cause dehydration and lack of thirst, which can be dangerous for your health. Therefore, it is advised to avoid alcohol during the trek to ensure a safe and healthy experience.
